Losing file after losing connection with server.

I develop and support a registered database that is used by non-profit organizations in 22 different states and resently a couple of these states have encountered a problem that while working in the database suddenly all the users will lose connection with the server. After the users each shut down and restart they can get back into the database except one table gets 'lost'. Sometimes this can be fixed by stopping the FileMaker Service on the server and restarting it. This problem has happened in 3 states, each having the problem with a different table. One state has had this happen quite often and to the point that the table gets damaged and other tables lose data. My feeling is that this is due to a problem with the server machine itself but I would like to hear if anyone else has experienced this problem.
