I am in need of help in designing a script that will log incoming and outgoing telephone calls in FM 5.Any ideas?

You need to be a bit more specific if you want us to answer in any helpful manner. At the moment we can chase our own tails trying to second guess what you are trying to do.

So, be more specific and you will get results.

From my understanding of the problem, a single script is not the whole answer. Fields needed: date (auto enter), time (auto enter), person called, person calling, number called, number called from, subect. Value lists needed: from the fields person called, person calling, number called, number called from. Scripts needed: make new entry, find, sort. The process to accomplish each of the above is simple so I suspect there is more going on here, or perhaps you are new to File Maker.
