Newbies Mac Posted February 19, 2003 Newbies Posted February 19, 2003 Tired of having to manually start sharing files on the OS X FM Server? You can get into the terminal and hand key in all the need directories and instructions. that is if you are really comfortable with the UNIX command line. If not, here is a simple solution. FM Start is a simple utlity that you can purchase for less the $20, it will install all the needed files and directories in the right places, so that when you start an OS X based FM server system it will automatically attempt to start sharing all the available databases. You won't even have to log in as or user, once the system boots up it will satrt sharing databases. It all boils down to what your time is worth, do you want to take the time to always log in and start the server sharing databases, do you have the time to sit down and code all the needed files and create the needed directories in the terminal using command line instructions. Or take 5 minutes to run the installer and have it all done for you. You decide. FM Start creates all the needed files and directories for OS X and OS X Serever 10.2.x and Higher Goto : FM Start
