Referenced Image File Paths

I am wondering if it is possible to update a path to a referenced image file in FileMaker. I could probably do it with the Troi File Plug-in if I was actually importing the images. But, I am only storing a reference to the images. So, I want to be able to update the path in the reference to the images. Any idea?

How are you storing the reference to the image? Is it in a text field or what? Let me know and I'll try and help you.
