adding & using pdf writer to e-mail reports

Hi,

For e-mailing reports from our database we use pdf writer to convert reports to pdf files and then attach them to an e-mail. I'm trying to install pdf writer on a pc running windows 2000 for that purpose, but it doesn't seem to work (the installation that is). Anybody familiar with using pdf writer in combination with Filemaker 5.0? I'm aware that it's not strictly a filemaker question, but visiting the Adobe site hasn't made it any more clear to me and I am hoping someone from the Filemaker community might know more.
