I am currently experiencing an interesting issue with Filemaker 6 and Filemaker Server 5.5. For some reason Filemaker prints random records from various modules. I am currently running Filemaker Server 5.5 on Redhat 8.0 it seems to run just fine with few issues. One of the other issues that don

Modules -- you mean files?

First make sure the server software and the client software are all up to date and patched. This may be bug that has been fixed.

FM Server does not perform scripts itself. Scripts are run on the client machine so I doubt it's a problem on the server. Scripts don't run randomly unless something is seriously amiss.

Regarding the logs, does Linux use GMT and is your time zone 8 hours ahead?

Hello Vaughan,

The date and time on the server is correct give or take a few seconds. This is according to the system time command "date".

Linux does have a time zone setting that is currently set to Pacific Standard time. Which is correct for our area. I'm going to try clearing the log and let Filemaker remake the files. Not sure if this will do anything but it's worth shot.

Thanks,

Jude

It turns out that all of Filemaker server is incorrect with the time. We have some scripts that are time sensitive and they are effected by the time setting being off. Fmserver definitely thinks its in GMT.
