Paolo Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 is it possible to change the default window size and position of a shared file (w/FMserver), accessing it remotely? or i do have to stop sharing, open it locally, changing window s/p...? I hate to do that every time!!: thank you
Vaughan Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 Try the "Toggle Window []" script step, or use one of the window control plugins like Window Utility.
BobWeaver Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 Captkurt suggested an excellent method in another thread a while ago. Create a 'sizing' layout that contains only a rectangle which is the size you want the window to default to. Then, create a script that goes to the sizing layout, toggles the window with the zoom option, and then returns to the original layout. You can create several different sizing layouts and scripts for different window sizes. Then just perform these as sub-scripts whenever you change to a new layout. Nice thing about this method is that, if it's a multi-user setup, you can change the default size without taking the server offline. As long as your password lets you into layout mode, you can change the size of the sizing rectangle, and it takes effect immediately.
