Does anyone know how you can get data out of a FM-dbase the way these data are presented in the "show index"-window (cmd-i from within a field)?

You mean, like creating a value list based on the field and creating a pop-up list or menu?

The aim is:

For a number of fields in my dbase I want to have the list of unique entries (which then have to be translated into French).

These unique entries will afterwards figure as items in a dictionnary-dbase (together with their French counterparts) and will be actively linked to the original dbase..

The Index gives me exactly what I'm looking for (list of unique entries), but I don't seem to get in out of FM (e.g. as a text file). Even Copy an Paste into a text editor would be just fine for me.
