Hi!

I've got some data from FM 1.0 Pro from Mac and just want to import them to FM5.5Pro Win. The program just don't want to import these 'old' files. What can I do?

You have to "step up" thru Mac OS versions until you get to 2.1v3 or 3.0. Then the cross platform version will work.

An alternate approach would be to export the text and just import it into the 5.5v1 file if you don't have to rebuild too much structure.

In the end this may not work if that old file has too much corruption in it.

The Mac version of FM 5 will read FM 1 files.

Indeed it will, but the step through process will detect any (likely) corruption earlier and have a better chance of repairing it. As soon as you get to version 3 you can go to Windows, and then follow an upgrade path from MAc 3 to Windows 5.5
