This comes up frequently enough that I've created a sample file with a script that can retrieve the last find criteria. It works without the need for scripted finds where the user enters the criteria into global fields. It gets the info directly by doing a 'Modify Last Find' and retrieving the information directly. The comments in the script explain what's going on. Have fun.
