I have a TOTAL figure field (totals) and a (Difference) field, trouble is i want the (Difference) figure to be CALCULATED from the PREVIOUS entry of the (totals) field.

E.G

Last months RECORD (March) the Balance was $625, this month (April) it is $500.

THEREFORE i want a CALCULATION that will pick up the PREVIOUS months (totals) figure of $625 and SUBTRACT the current (next) figure of $500, and place the RESULT of -$125 (in this case) AUTOMATICALLY in the (Difference) field.

I tried a SCRIPT to get this to work, but NO Good either.

Any help will be appreciated.

Look at the attachement for the implementation in case of consecutive months.

If you need to handle also situations when some months are missing you'll need to parse relational value list for last two entries
