importing repeating field data

Please excuse this seemingly basic question... I'm attempting to import the data from one data base to another, but the only data that is not being successfully transferred is from the repeating fields. I notice that the option "import values in repeating fields by:..." is grayed out so I cannot make a selection there. Any thoughts? I'm using an old version of Filemaker - 3.0.

Does the destination database have (the same) repeating fields?
