maybe a strange wish :

I want to overlay two containerfield that both contain graphics. Now i want to preserve the transparancy of the graphical objects. So object 2 is on top of object 1. Object 2 is partly transparant (at least the gif file is). How can i overlay these two containerfields so that i can see through object 2 (partly object 1)

Thanks for any siggestions.

Jitse

make sure transparency color is 100% white.

To make any such object transparent, create a container variable.

switch to layout mode,

paste your graphic.

rotate 1 time.

set background to none.

Copy the rotated graphic.

switch to browse mode.

paste into container.

copy again.

go to layout mode

paste again

rotate 3 times

set background to none.

copy again

now, the graphic should be transparent .

Thanks for your answer,

is this somekind of trick ?

I mean the rotation and copying in layout mode?

Did i make my question clear : i mean having two containerfield overlayed in browse mode and one containe containing a partial transparant graphic ?

Anyway,

i will give it a try

thanks

jitse

The rotation thing is a workaround for a bug in Filemaker that prevents transparency from working correctly.
