Hi!

This might sound very stoopid of me, but can I export / import a layout from database to another (they both have the same fields / scripts etc).

No. you can copy/paste the graphic elements on the layout, but unless field and script names are exactly the same they won't transfer across exactly -- you'll need to re-specify the buttons and field objects.

I usually start by making a new layout in the target database and set the layout parts up to exactly the same as the original database. Then copy/paste the graphic elements part-by-part to ensure alignment.
