Featured Replies

Hi,

If there is a constant Import,Export and Delete done on a File Maker File,

will it get corrupted.

Thank You

Not if the data are clean and the file structure itself isn't corrupted.

Are you sure I have a File Maker File in which records are imported(Its used as a transport file and imported from another file maker file) and then the records are Printed and then the file is emptied. This file get corrupted after some time. This must be used be done around 3 times in a day.The no of records been imported is small though.(Probably 7-10 records).

Well some of the users got it corrupted together after some period of time but then I was able to recover it for them. Most users so far don't have any problem.Would this be specific to the machines, like hardware problems

or Power Outages or just a habit of shutting down M/c without closing FMP files or crashing of the system while performing a script or even could it be a Virus attack?I am confused as I have tested it on my m/c hundreads of times and it never crashed or corrupted any files.

Thank You
