FileMaker Pro 5 And Access : Can I link data ?

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

It's possible to use FileMaker pro 5 on a Apple Computer (OS X) and link data located in a Access 2000 database file (.mdb) ?

Thanks for your help!

David

you can use ODBC bridge to link FileMaker to a Windows Computer, which in turn is linked to an Access database.

Or you can use MS Excel as an intermediate application:

FileMaker<->ExcelMac <->Excel on Win <-> Access on Win.

Or - if you get MyODBC working, use MySQL as intermediary database.

If you just want to import the data, simply save as Excel on the win-machine & transfer to Mac for import into Filemaker.
