EXPORTING TO HTML > HOW TO EDIT THAT FILE

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

hi,

i can export to htm file so i can upload to my server, but the file exported is not very attractive and has borders around the table data cells.

how can i export with a bit more neatness, and also can i export the colors i have set for text in my layout.

i looked at lasso, and i think that can do it but i really dont want to download a 30mb program just to do this.

i can edit the exported file but i would have to do this each time i edit my data.

can anyone help? thanks

mario

make a calc field

"<TABLE><TH><TD>" & header01 & "</TD><TD>" &header02 & "</TD></TH>"&"<TR><TD>" & field01& ......

you can add any HTML formatting in your calc. To escape the qotes chharacter, use either 3 or 4 quotes:

&"""" => ""

"abcd""" => abcd".

Or you can have a global field with a HTML-Template and placeholders which will be replaced by the substitute() function ...

Substitute(Substitute(g_template,"##field01##",field01),"##field02##",field02)....
