Importing data from ClarisWorks 4.0

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! This is my first post and I'm also new to FM so any help will be greatfully appreciated. After some digging around I found out I'm suppose to export as a text tab delimited file. But I can't find a expport command in Clarisworks. Is there a way to export the file? Do I need to buy another program to do the job.

Clarisworks uses the term "ASCII text" instead of tab delimited, but it's the same thing.

Thanks for the correct terminology. On the application that is loaded on my computer which is ClarisWorks 4.06. I went through all the pull down menu and I can't find anything that looks like a export command.

Thanks

Andy

Is there anything that looks like a Save As... command? Haven't used ClarisWorks myself, so this isn't sarcasm. smile.gif" border="0

The Save As command only save it as a ClasrisWorks file. Does any one know if ClarisWorks 5 have export as text command.

Thanks

Andy

I have Clarisworks 4.0v4, and can save as tab-delimited, Excel 3 & 4, and a few others.

When you do a Save As.., you should see a little popup menu immediately above where you enter the file name. I've checked this out for saving both CW spreadsheets and CW databases. If you don't see this popup, then it's possible that the translators are missing. You may have to re-install Clarisworks.
