Hi ALl,

Just inherited a FM Pro db and so trying to get the beast under my control!!!!!!

in layout mode some character text appears over all the buttons (see below)

now im not sure if this is just a way of numbering/indexing the buttons as from the previous developer or is it something to do with the devlopment/programming side and if so WHAT?

it is not specified to carry out any scripts or functions and is not visable in browse mode! confused.gif

Is [xx] a field name? If so, they have been using a field name, set in layout as a merge field, over the top of a button to change the name of the button - depending on field contents. If nothing is appearing in Browse mode, then field [xx] is empty.
