In my quotation solution I have an Estimats file and a LiveOrder file. When a quote becomes a live order, the user initiates a script that finds that quote in Estimates and then imported into LiveOrder.

On the host machine it is without trouble. When intiated from a guest an error message states that Estimates.fp5 could not be found (even though it is open at the time). User can then select via the host dialog the file and complete the task.

I have tried repointing the script to the correct source file, both from the host machine and from the guest and have made sure that "relative path" is unchecked. Have also made sure that the master password was used just in case.

This is most annoying. We are certain that the guest users are accessing the db's via host button and filesharing is off. Same action with fmp5.0 or fmp5.5.

Running WinXP if that matters. I know that others using my solution have the same trouble.

Importing between multi-user files is not reliable. Also it sounds as if there could be some architrctural issues with your files.

Use Set Field instead.

That is where I was headed. I was afraid you would say something like that. Just hoped for a different answer. smile.gif" border="0
