Duplicate Files

Featured Replies

I have a file called Price another called estimate and the last one called workorder.

The price is shared between the two. What i've come to find out is that when my opening script opens all the file's the three are all there, after I have been in either one of the later two file's, everythings fine. But when I go into the other one it opens another price file. Now i have 4 file's open instead of 3.

What did I do wrong??

Do not have any files available to FileMkaer with same name. Zip any unused files or move to another PC.

One of your files is most likely opening another database through a Relationship or a Value List. Check all Relationships are linking to the correct database (with correct path where necessary), and don't forget to check if any Value Lists are set-up to "Use value list from another file".

The first time I ever created local versions of a set of databases in order to restructure, I had overlooked that Value Lists can open another db. A trap for the unwary.

cheers,

Wendy
