May 14, 200322 yr Newbies Hello anyone, I am a beginner DB developer and I need some help working with already created sophisticated DB's. I have a faculty DB that has over 100 files in it and there are only 30 faculty and staff members. I am trying to create a script that will export or delete all faculty records that are inactive. May 14, 200322 yr well, with only a hundred records, it seems easier to just sort them bei staff name & eliminate the doubles/inactives by hand. takes 30 mins at most and guarantees accuracy. You could write a scrpt that would trash entries that have not been changed for a year or so based on modification date, or any record, that is not referenced within a certain period of time by a literature database or whatever your staff ilist is used for in a multi-file solution ... (like deleting any user in this forum who has not logged in within 18 months ...).
