I'm looking for a plug-in that can authenticate a username and password to a Novell Directory System. I need a solution for both Win32 and MacOS.

Please post any ideas or places to look.

I think NDS, like MS Active Directory uses LDAP as an undelying service. An LDAP plugin for filemaker does not exist yet. But you can make AppleScript or a win program query the LDAP server. However, in addition to talking LDAP, you need kerberos decryption ability, and your password is in the open while being transferred to the third party app

there must be sth. similar in windows that can be scripted with WSH or DDE.

Thanks for the additional information. I have LDAP libraries. I'll try writing a FM plug-in for the LDAP authentication.

But, if I can find one that's already done, all the better.
