not recognizing a dbf

I am running on OS 9.2 and Filmaker Pro 5.5.

When I try to import or open a .dpf file created in Microsoft Works database on a PC this file won't show up in the window with show all available selected. The dbf translator is in the FP extensions folder.

Why won't it show me the .dbp file?

Yes. Known to be an issue for both export and import.

Only workaround I know is to se another format.
