OLE is a link. Not an import or an imbed. The letetrs remain on the Windows OS machine's network, not on your MAc.

Hi!!

I work with fm5 on my pc at home and on a mac os at work.

Recently I scanned some letters into my database from home, tried to read the scanned letters at work and all that showed up was that the letter was a windows created ole object.

I am not using a container field for my letter, read the directions from my user's manual and it mentioned the preference under edit and everything is appropriately checked. I think!!
