Quickeys, Applescript, and Filemaker

Hello- I am just wondering if any one here has a script that they trigger with applescript which launches a quickey and it works? WHEN I LAUNCH a quickey from applescript using quickeys backgrounder it takes 45 seconds to shut down and I don't know why. Basically, I am just trying to find out if others out there have used quickeys with filemaker that work and don't shut down filemaker.
