I would like some help with filemaker. This is the first time I have heard of it when it was dropped on my lap and told to do something with it. Basically one of the offices have been using it to keep contacts in. And now we need to get the contacts out. except the export button (never seen the program myself) is not clickable and it was supposed to be done yesterday. So any help would be great. Thank you for any info. As far as I know the database is his but have no idea if there was any kind of password or administrative reason to hide or prevent exporting.

If there is an "export" button, then probably, someone created an export script that is triggered by the button. But, the button may have never been configured. Doesn't matter anyway. Under the File menu, there is the export command that will let you export records. As long as there is no password set to prevent exporting, you can do it this way. If there is a password, then you need to find out what it is before you can proceed.
