Automate?: Export multiple files w/different names

I'm looking for an automatic way to export multiple files using different file names for each export.

Example: I have a database of places. Each record contains the place name, description, etc. I want to create an HTML page for each place.

I know how to create the HTML pages by exporting and naming each record one by one. I want a way to batch export the files (there could be 10's of files) using appropriate, unique file names. I can easily specify the file name in each record. My roadblock is that I don't know how to specify that file name in the exported file.

Can you help?

I use FileMaker Pro 4.x and 5.x on the Macintosh.

Hi!

Did you ever get an answer to your question?

I need to do a similar thing on a Windoze server.

Any ideas after all this time?

Thanks

Kim
