I export FileMaker data, including text box data, to a SQL database. The data looks fine in FileMaker, but when it is imported into SQL, carriage returns are displayed with a square character. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know how to prevent it?

Sorry for not answering your question, but how did you "...export FileMaker data, including text box data, to a SQL database..."?

Did you export it as a text file first, or did you go through ODBC?

The reason I'm asking is because I want to directly import data from FM to MS SQL 2K from ODBC DSN, but find it hard to point DSN to the rigth file.
