change password with scripts

Hi all,

I am new for filemaker. my question is, is there any scripts to change password?

for example: I have 3 files, a,b,c all use same password for admin and user, so what i want is to find a script that will change the password automatically for all files.

thanks in advance

Hello devyra,

Changing passwords remotely via script is not a native featuer of the current versions of FileMaker, I'm afraid.

However it can be done with the aid of a third-party plug-in called DialogMagic, which is available as shareware from New Millennium Communications. You'll find details at:

DialogMagic:

It's a veritable bag of tricks, and scripted password changes is only one among a host of interesting feates it performs. I use it frequently. smile.gif
