Newbies :DTM. Posted July 27, 2003 Newbies Posted July 27, 2003 Well I'm done with my project and I'm burning the final release. I've got the FM Runtime autoplay with autorun.inf under Windows, with Toast [via quicktime] under MacOS, but I'm stuck with the MacOS X version. As I understand it there's no autorun feature in MacOS X, but when I click on the CDROM icon I see all the program and folder icons in a messy order. I had ordered all icons in a smarter way, putting the runtime executable in the middle and folders in the corners of the window. Why did that order get lost while burning the CD? I would have preferred getting a plain ordered-by-name list of files and folders rather than that ugly mess... You helpful Mac-O-Guys, what's the trick here? Thanx in advance, :DTM. aka Daniele Gubert
CobaltSky Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 Hello Daniele, It depends a bit on what version of Toast you are using. If your version supports it, I suggest that you try creating a disc image first. Then mount the disc image and arrange the windows according to your preference. The desktop settings will be saved with the disk image directory when you unmount it. If you then open the image in Toast and burn it to CD-ROM you should find that your settings are preserved.
