i am in the process of conditioanlly changing the color of the fields on alayout based on the value of one field. (ie clients from one state=yellow, clients from another state=blue) and i am trying to match up the fields on the conditional layout with the ones on the old layout, but the container fields are giving me trouble. i have the calcs working fine, but there seems to be a small (hairline?) border around them, and i can't seem to line them up with other (regular) fields on other layouts. i suppose this problem will go away when i get all the layouts duped and "containered", cos then they'll all have the same issue, so they'll sync up.

am i missing something re: the border formats of container fields, i turned the borders on, set them to none, and the problem is still there. i can get the text in the (overlapping, transparent) field to line up with the text in the non-transparent field on another layout, but the container field, with its filled-in-ness is messing me up.

this prblem doesn't seem to affect the fields that are populated by a pop up menu, those line up very well...i do have to hide the corners of the container field behind them, tho...but that's minor so far.

also, i have several fields that are producing a border on the left side only, and the borders are turned off/set to none, i can make them go away by overlaying a line, and i can obnly see them in zoom=400 mode. when i zoom out, they go away, but it bothers me when they're there on only some fields and not others...

any ideas?

thanks in advance!
