I have a bunch of FM dbs running on 2 FmServers on my network - for some reason I can no longer see these servers when starting up FMPro on a different machine and pressing "hosts" in the open file dialog... DNS is ok, pings are fine, I can traverse accross the network and access the databases on the servers via the F$ admin share ( didn't open just making sure no network funny stuff was going on.) I can dump the IP address in there but since we have everything distributed accross 2 servers it chokes whenever it wants a db living on server # 2 - None of my other LAN connected boxes have this problem except for this one Terminal Server machine I am referring to...

Windows 2000 on everything FM Server 5.5 and FM Pro 6 & 5.5 clients on XP in the LAN - I have seen this before but only briefly and have no clue what to do about it...

I figured out my problem and it had to do with Windows 2000 DNS, DHCP, 2nd network adapter.... and the *** poor manner in which they were all set to properly update. DDNS is tough - system didn't even care about hostfiles....
