Dynamically accessing Address Book data from FMpro

I am looking for a solution which enables the Mac OSX Address Book data to be used in place of an address book created in FileMaker. Something like a fully integrated FileMaker/Address Book with flows of information from at least the Address Book into FileMaker if not both directions. I would like to be able to call up information held in Address Book for use in a FileMaker database with out having to resort to copy/paste or some sort of vCard exchange.

Hi Ting,

Did you every figure out if this is possible? I too would like address book data to appear in a FileMaker solution that I wish to create.

Thank you,

James

Nope! Lots of people reading it but no solutions so far. I've even put it into FileMaker as a suggestion.

Ting

Thanks Ting,

Keep the faith. I think as a temporary solution, I am going to implore one of the vCard exporting solutions. I can always connect the FM database to the address book at a later date. I'd like to think that this will be in FM 7, but somehow, I suspect that they will disappoint me.

If I discover anything otherwise, I'll repost to update you.

Best regards,

James

There is one easy way: Address Exchange is very simple to use! ...and it really works perfect!

FileMaker Version: 6

Platform: Mac OS X Panther
