Closing off guests on shared databases

Featured Replies

A colleague of mine has just asked me this question, coincidentally one that I looked at briefly a week or so ago and passed on (too hard).

We want to quit FMP on the server, but if any people are connencted to any of the databases it stalls: a dialog box appears with the "Ask" button that needs clicking on.

Does anybody have a way of reliably forcing FMP to quit on the server and close all connections elegantly and automatically?

I have tried error trapping on the server script (ie, Set Error Capture, Close[database], then Status[CurrentError] but the Close step still brings the dialog up.

Thanks in advance.
