Newbies indri Posted August 30, 2000 Newbies Posted August 30, 2000 I use FileMakerPro for a database which contains articles. Some articles are pretty long so each article use up more than one page. At my "Preview" view , those long articles will be cut off since it can't fit into one page. And on the next page, instead of the continuation of the record, it will contain the next record. Can FileMakerPro print part of the article all the way to the bottom of the page and the rest on the next page (i.e if it's in MS Word, we can do a "Page Break")?
Vaughan Posted September 14, 2000 Posted September 14, 2000 First, work out what your *longest* document is likely to be -- let's say 6 pages. Now, change your layout so the body part is at least 6 pages long and make the text field fill all of this space. Then set the Sliding/Printing options to reduce the size of the part. Now when your preview or print it will work out OK. Note that if you later get a document longer than 6 pages, the last page will be clipped again. When you size the layout, be generous with the body part to avoid this problem.
