Is it possible to make a script/link that will go to a different file (FileB) from the current file (FileA) and change to a different layout of FileB?

In scriptmaker, i noticed that there is an option to change layout where you specify what layout you would like to switch to, but this option does not work when you want to change to a different layout of a different file.

for example, from FileA, the script is instructed to open[FileB], then to change_to_layout[some layout #]; unfortunately, what happens is that FileA switches to that certain layout# and not FileB

Suggestions?

Write your script in File B

Go To Layout [x]

Now, in FileA, your script will be Perform Script, External.

Choose the external option, select FileB and the script you wish to run
