System date settings

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Anybody have an idea on how to "see" what the system

date settings are in a Mac & a Windows machine??

The idea would be to re-construct a date (based on the system settings)

that must be in a mm/dd/yyyy format regardless of system settings

to pass to an external function.

On MacOSX:

System Prefs/International/Date/Short date

FMP can override these prefs.

thanks

can i "see" it within an FM script?

dan

I don't think you can see this in a script, but you can use the Set Use System Format script step in a startup script to have the user feel comfy with the dates, time, currency ... troughout the db.

Or, with option "off" you can force the format saved in your solution.
