What i want to know is: can Filemaker and Oracle comunicate with each other?

well, it depends on how you define "talk" and what version of FM your using....

Filemaker 6.0 database to be used as a internal system and then to update an oracle 9i db for global users. i know this sounds weird but who am i to argue? im just the one who has to ask the questions.

Yes, you can integrate them. using ODBC you will be able to import records from Oracle, add new recods in Oracle and update existing records.
