grrr... we have 3 win XP pro machines. the FM database running is on a destop machine. from a laptop, when i navigate thru the network and locate the running database on the desktop and dble click it, usually it opens - the curser changes to the little dble arrow squiggle so i know filemaker is looking over the network to open the file. but today it says that "the file is busy, it's not multiuser or the network path is not found" what is this about??? also, from my laptop, if i click the "hosts" button in the open dialog button, i never see any open multiluser databases. it did work once, when i went to the desktop and looked up the IP address and put that in for a "specific host address", but that hasn't worked since... and now my HOSTS dialog box has all these Non valid IP addresses listed and i can't figure out how to delete them..
