Body text and fields printing in header and footer

Featured Replies

This has really got me stumped.

I'm runing Windows version 2000 Professional, FileMaker Developer version 6.0v4, working on files being served from FileMaker Server version 5.5, printing from other systems running FileMaker 5.5 produces the same problem.

I have a 10 page form that is being printed on an HP Laserjet 4050 Network printer. Text and fields at the bottom of the body of page 8 is printing in the header of page 9 and text and fields at the top of page 9 is printing in the footer of page 8. Except for differing text and fields I have similar spacing from the top and bottom elements of pages 1-7.

If I clear the text and fields from page 8 that are in the area of the header height from the bottom of the page the problem disappears in the page 9 header. Likewise if I clear the text and fields from the top of page 9 within the footer height of the top of the page the problem disappears from the page 8 footer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

From memory, the header prints information from the first record on the page. Footer prints information fromthe last record on the page.

If a record is split between pages it'd produce the effects you are reporting.

I'm confused by your comment "I have a 10 page form..." do you mean the layout is 10 pages deep, or that 10 pages print out for your current found set?
