Newbies SWITCH Posted November 9, 2000 Newbies Posted November 9, 2000 Windows Platform FMP5 On a record I have an engraving number. There are items(numbers) associated with the engraving number. I have duplicate engraving numbers. I need to eliminate the duplicate engraving numbers and place all the items for the one engraving number on one record. I have a list of records that has to be searched through. At this point everything is in order because the records are being imported from oracle. But I don't know if this will continue in this order. Thanx
Vaughan Posted November 9, 2000 Posted November 9, 2000 Exactly how do you want the "merged" numbers to appear... all in a single field joined to gether or with spaces or commas between them; in separate fields; in related records in a portal...
Newbies SWITCH Posted November 10, 2000 Author Newbies Posted November 10, 2000 These items are individual items, so I would only need them to be separated by whatever means possible at this time. If I could place these items in there own fields( list on a layout ) it would be perfect for future alterations to the design of the DB. I am not sure to what is a Portal? Thanx Vaughan
