Let's have 2 files: A, B.

There is a relationship between A and B: A::keyb = B::KEYB

Some of the record of B are:

1: KEYB=000A

2: KEYB=000B

3: KEYB=000C

One record in A have

A::keyb ="000A

000B"

(note the CR between 000A and 000B)

In filemaker 5.5 and 6.0 this record relates to both record 1 and 2 in B.

In filemaker 5.0 it does't relate to any record in B.

Is it normal?

It should work. Make sure your fields are all defined as text.

Was this a feature of FM4.0 too?

Anyway, I'll try some sort of patching or upgrading of my FM5.0 installations.

Make sure you are using 5.0v3 -- it might have been a bug. The free update is available from the FMI web site.

In fact I was using 5.0v1

I'll try upgrading a see what happens.
