Hi

I have a problem I use a database at work where I have to create job records and input information some of it I have and some I have supplied by my customers.

The problem is that the information I receive from my customer is being duplicated by him. Is there away I can set up filemaker to stop me inputing the same number as a previous record.

The field in question is a number field.

Since the field is a numbe I suspect that it is some type of ID (SIN etc) so there should only be one of those in you Database. That being true setup the field validation to make sure that the ID field is 'unique'
