I'm trying to write a script in FM5 That will first save a copy of the current file then create an e-mail with that saved copy attached and mail it using Outlook as the default client. I have been able to make the script work except that when I attach the .fp5 file it doesn't send. If I attach virtually any other type of file including .fp3 files it works great, but .fp5 files (tried several different ones, not just the recently saved copy) seem to make it baulk. Has anyone got any info that could help me?

What name is the newly-saved FMP file being given? Is it the same name as the one in the send mail script step? Are you sure the specified file isn't the one that's in use?

Thanks Vaughan. The new file is being saved as "(file name)copy", and yes, the correct name is specified. Not only that, I also tried attaching several other, different types of files. .jpg's, .xls's .doc's and even .fp3's all went fine. However, after trying 3 different .fp5 files I still could not get any of them to go. I can create a new mail in Outlook (separate if FM and attach a .fp5 file. That works. But when I try to do (in essence) the same thing using "send mail" in FM it fails. I'm going to get back into it tonight, as I was very tired and more than a little frustrated when I left it last, so maybe with a clearer mind I will find my mistake. If anyone has any thoughts, however, please feel free to pass them along.
