looking up based on relationship

i am sure this is simple, but i have yet to work with relations. This is basic.

I have a customer db, when i import from a file i import the customer info and the book sku.

I have a inventroy db with all item info in it.

I would like the customer db to update the item info based on sku.

so, i would import the customer info, and sku, then fm will update the item info based on sku.

how do i do that?
