April 7, 200124 yr hi, When I serach for "abc", the result doesn't only "abc" but also "abcd", "abcde"..etc. How can I avoid this and get the exact result? thanks for any help! -jimi
April 7, 200124 yr Jimi, Simply type =abc and your search will return an exact match! flash_test.fp7.zip
April 12, 200124 yr Yes! A search for "abc" will return all records that contain "abc" anywhere in the field being searched. This way you can search for all the "Smiths" in your database by typing "Smi" in the field that contains last names. Note that you will also get all the Smithfields, Smiles, Wordsmiths, etc. To find just the Smiths, in your find type "=Smith". [ April 12, 2001: Message edited by: esteshk ]
