Kay Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Hello, I would like a script to open the print dialog box before printing regardless of platform so the users can make choices. My client has a variety of MACs and PCs. Good old Print[ ] opens the dialog box on the PCs but not the MACs. Couple other details... I only have a PC to test on. This client is in Connecticut and I am in Ontario. We have never had a platform problem before and we just email files back and forth. I seem to be missing something. If I use Print Setup[ ] and then Print[Perform without dialog], the user can cancel the print setup but cannot cancel the print! I was thinking the Print Setup[ ] would force it on the MACs. They have to be able to cancel the print. If I use Print Setup[ ] command before Print[ ] (with dialog), I get the dialog box twice on my PC before print. Any ideas? Thanks, Kay Happy Monday!
Vaughan Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Print Setup is called Page Setup on Macs, and it's a diffferent set of options to Print! You need to have Print Setup [] Print [] The print step needs to display the dialog.
Kay Posted October 28, 2003 Author Posted October 28, 2003 I can't believe I didn't know that nor could find it in Help yesterday. Thank you so much.
