Hi!

Is it possible to change the relationship for a portal by changing value in a field? The field contains a valuelist with several choices

You can't change the relationship itself, but you can change the range of data which is displayed in the portal with this relationship.

If your field with the valuelist is in the file with the portal and you change the value the portal will display everytime just the records which are matching the chosen value.

Hi!

Thanks for replying.

Any suggestions on how I can solve my problem?

What I am looking for is as you say filter the data in the portal dependent on the valuelist, but I want one of the values in the list to show all the records?

Suppose your valuelist contains the values:

Small

Medium

Large

All

Suppose the key field used on the righthand side of the relationship is called Size. Create a calculated field cSizeKey with the formula:

Size & "

One simple way, if it's a text field you're matching, is to add the value "All" to the field. You'd have to make it a calculation field, with your existing field & "
