wookie Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I need to automatically create PDFs from within FileMaker which need to be Password protected, so that they can only be printed, but not modified. Can someone tell me either how to do this or where to find the respective information in this ever growing Forum? Thanks a lot, Dr. Woo
Echo33029 Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I'm not sure if this will do the trick for you, but I use a PDF print driver called pdf995 (www.pdf995.com). You print to it like a regular printer and it creates pdf files that you can read with your regular acrobat reader, and I believe that file editing is blocked out. I use it to generate quotes to my customers and email them the pdf quotation. It is a shareware utility that pops up a webpage every time you print. You can stop the popup by paying the registration fe of US$9.95. So far it works great for me.
